Celebrating TAHOE Olympians!

I am beyond excited for my clients, whose daughter Misaki Vaughan is officially headed to the Olympics! Misaki’s journey is everything we celebrate about mountain living. A young athlete whose talent and grit were shaped right here in Truckee after her family moved full‑time to give their kids a life in the outdoors. From joining Northstar Teams in 2015 to balancing Truckee schools with competitive cheer (including the 2022 Cheerleading World Championships), she’s always pushed herself with heart. When she shifted her full focus to snowboarding, the results came fast: a first‑place FIS win at Northstar, a NorAm podium, her first World Cup at Mammoth, and her debut World Championships in Engadin. Now she’s representing Australia in the Olympic halfpipe, turning a hometown dream into a global moment and we couldn’t be more proud.

And wowza….so many local TAHOE athletes earned a ticket to this year’s winter games! The U.S. Ski and Snowboard teams for the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics are all ready kitted out and settling into the spirit of the games in Italy.
